Papers to have ready

Gathered once, they save a phone call and a wasted journey.

Up-to-date Carte Vitale, or proof of entitlementIt lets us bill the health insurance directly: nothing to pay upfront, nothing to post.

Name and phone number of the GPThey are who we call if something changes — we do not want to be hunting for that number.

Prescriptions and reports

Care is delivered on prescription: it states what, how often, and for how long.

Original nursing prescriptionIt states the care, its frequency and its duration: without it, care cannot be billed and often cannot be given.
Hospital or surgical discharge reportIt says what was done, what to monitor and what should raise the alarm.
Full list of current medicationInteractions and blood thinners change how care is given, even a simple dressing.
Prescription for supplies and devicesDressings, needles, tubing: these are dispensed by the pharmacy, not carried by us.

Where the care happens

A sink, a light and a clear surface are enough — but they are essential.

An accessible sink and soapHand hygiene before and after every procedure is the first barrier against infection.
A clear surface near the bed or chairSterile equipment cannot be placed on the floor or on a cluttered tray.
An adjustable lampA wound is judged by its colour: a dark room hides precisely what must be seen.

What we know before the first visit is not discovered at the third.

Known allergies, particularly to dressings and antisepticsAn adhesive allergy changes the dressing chosen from the very first visit.
The time that suits you, and the times that never willA round is built by geography: a slot known early is a slot that holds.
The person to contact, with their phone numberIf something unexpected happens we call someone who knows the situation — not a voicemail.

Once the home is ready

Call us or send the request: we confirm that we can take the care on, the approximate visiting slot, and anything still missing. If your town falls outside our area, we point you to a practice that covers it.
